When Strength Starts to Feel Heavy
Let me say something to all my fellow “strong ones”: just because we’re strong doesn’t mean we’re made of steel. We get tired too. We get discouraged. And yes — we replay conversations in our heads, wondering if we should’ve spoken up more or stayed quiet.
There are days I don’t feel like praying — but I do anyway. Nights I cry in the shower so nobody hears me. Mornings I turn on worship music not because I feel holy, but because I don’t.
God meets me there — every time.
Strength Doesn’t Mean Silence
Being strong isn’t about never hurting — it’s about knowing where to take your hurt. I take mine to Jesus. When I don’t have the words. When I feel numb. When I want to quit everything and disappear under a new name and a new haircut. (Just kidding… kind of.)
But seriously — you’re not alone. If you’re the strong one, this is your reminder: you’re allowed to need God too. You don’t have to hold it all together. You’re not a robot. You’re human. A loved, called, chosen, soft-on-the-inside human.
Your Healing Starts with Rest
